Evolution version history
Evolution's release record runs from 1.00 through 1.11, with 1.07E revisions R1, R2 and R3 alongside the numbered builds. 1.08 and 1.09 shipped only as test builds and their changes were folded into 1.10, so there is no separate 1.08 or 1.09 release log.

The mod publishes a changelog page plus a list of previous patches, newest to oldest. This is that record with the context that makes it readable.

Why 1.08 and 1.09 have no log
The mod's own note explains it: versions 1.08 and 1.09 were test build changes that were pushed into the 1.10 release instead. If you are searching for them, the changes are inside the 1.10 log.
What 1.07 established
1.07 is the build that made Evolution look like the game people recognise today:
- Storm Connections characters and stages ported, with the Next Generations DLC requirement attached.
- The Connections effect files and shaders brought across.
- Increased heap memory allocation to prevent crashes.
- Awakening health threshold raised; armour break start health raised.
- Storm Gauge gain from damage dealt roughly doubled, gain from damage received halved.
- Auto chakra regen increased; counter attack substitute cost doubled.
- Ninja dash start-up cut from 14 frames to 9.
- Air rebound delay added; charged jutsu input for supports.
If you are returning after a long break, 1.07 is the version your memory is probably calibrated to.
The test build era is over
The test build was made public for years and retired in October 2026. The team's current position is that changes go directly into the main build for future patches, so the release build is the only one to track now — see test build.
Reading a changelog well
Two habits help:
- Later entries override earlier ones. If a costume was added and then removed, the newest line wins. The Konan page is the clearest example.
- Hitbox language is the design language. Most character entries adjust hitsphere size, offsets, active frames and cancel windows. That is not noise; it is the balance work.
