Stages
Evolution keeps the STORM 4 arenas and adds stages ported from Storm Connections — which need the Next Generations DLC — along with custom additions such as the Kara stage in 1.11. The team also does collision and audio passes on existing stages to fix places where fighters clipped or effects dropped out.

Stage work is the quietest part of the mod and one of the most consistent: almost every release includes collision fixes, and several include entirely new arenas.
What is in the stage select
| Group | Source | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| STORM 4 base arenas | The retail game | Kept, with collision and effect fixes |
| Storm Connections stages | Ported in 1.07 | Requires the Next Generations DLC |
| Custom stages | Built by the mod team | The Kara stage added in 1.11 is the most recent |
| Practice stage | Base game | Extended collision so projectiles do not fall off the map |
The Connections ports and the DLC
When the Connections material landed in 1.07, stages came with a footnote: Storm Connections characters and stages require the Next Generations DLC. If a stage is missing from your select while the base arenas are all present, that is the first thing to check — missing characters covers the same dependency.
Collision work
A sample of stage fixes the mod has shipped:
- Final Battlefield (After the Disaster) — cinematic placement collision fixed.
- Lightning Desert — ground collision adjusted; the devastated variant's collision reworked.
- Hidden Leaf Village (Nine Tails Attack) — rocks now hide when players approach the edge.
- Hidden Leaf Village (After the Great Ninja War) and the Hokage's Mansion — collision issues fixed.
- The Final Valley and Hidden Stone's Hideout — wall collision adjusted.
- Practice stage — outer collision added so stray projectiles despawn instead of flying off the map.
- Six Paths Spiritual Realm — cinematic spawn positions corrected.
- Dream Field — team ultimate position fixed.
These rarely make a changelog headline and they are exactly why a stage that used to eat your ultimate does not any more.
Audio and atmosphere
Stages get sound work too: stages added in 1.10 came with their own sound effects, Lightning was added to the Revolution awakening stage, and Kurama's model in the Nine Tails stage was adjusted.
