Curse Mark and the Sound Four
1.11 added Curse Mark First State costume variants for the Sound Four — Tayuya, Sakon and Ukon, Jirobo and Kidomaru — with curse marks triggering on armor break and during instant awakening. The same build added curse mark costumes for Kimimaro and a curse mark costume for Hebi Sasuke on instant awakening.

Curse mark work is one of 1.11's clearest content additions: the Sound Four got their mark states as both costumes and transformations.
What the release notes list
- Curse Mark First State costume variants for the Sound Four.
- Curse marks on armor break for the Sound Four characters, so the mark appears as their outfit takes damage.
- Curse mark during instant awakening for Tayuya, Sakon and Ukon, Jirobo and Kidomaru.
- A curse mark costume for Hebi Sasuke on instant awakening.
- Curse mark costumes for Kimimaro, including variants on his default and Edo Tensei outfits, with the broken-skin costume separating the cursed body from the normal one.
- A fix for the curse mark pattern's outline on Hebi Sasuke's default and black costumes, and a fix for his third costume's jacket turning on during instant awakening.
Why armor break matters here
Armor Break is the mod's term for the state a character enters when their outfit takes enough damage. Tying the curse mark to it means the mark is progression inside a match rather than a costume you pick in the select screen: you fight, the outfit shreds, and the mark appears.
If you want to see it reliably, disable or watch the practice mode toggles — 1.11's practice additions include a costume damage toggle, which lets you turn armor break behaviour on or off while testing.
Kimimaro specifically
Kimimaro's curse mark treatment is the most detailed in the build: a mark on the default outfit, a mark on the Edo Tensei outfit, and a bone-based costume with a separate cursed body. The same release fixed a Kimimaro hitstun drop on awakening neutral combos and a voice-line timing issue on his second ultimate.
Sasuke (Hebi)
Hebi Sasuke's curse mark arrives with instant awakening rather than as a standalone costume. The build also enabled the Curse Mark ultimate jutsu for more of his costumes and added an Ultimate Ninja 5 ultimate for him, so if you use Hebi Sasuke, 1.11 is a substantial update.
